Flintwork in Henley-on-Thames

Flintwork in Henley-on-Thames

Henley’s period properties and riverside setting mix brick, flint and later extensions. Older flint here is usually field flint with brick dressings, not coastal cobbles. The brief is often either to disappear against that fabric or to express flint as a crisp knapped skin on new work. Based nearby in High Wycombe, we cover Henley for matching, restoration and knapped new work.

Typical projects we take on in Henley-on-Thames

• Extending or altering a property where new flint must meet old
• Restoring weathered external flint and replacing hard cement pointing with lime
• Contemporary knapped flint on a new extension or garden/boundary wall
• Coordinating flint detailing with architects and main contractors
