Matching & extending existing flintwork
Flint & Form matches and extends existing flint walls for extensions and alterations. We select and lay new flint so it continues the original wall (stone, pattern, joint width and mortar colour) rather than reading as a patch or a different wall altogether.

How we approach it
We assess the existing flint: the type and size of the stones, the pattern of the work, joint width, mortar colour and overall character.
New flint is then selected and laid to reflect that character, so the added work reads as a continuation of the building rather than an obvious addition.
Small differences in stone selection, mortar or jointing can make a new section stand out. Careful observation is as important as the laying itself.

Can you match internal flint walls as well as external ones?
Yes. Matching is often needed where an extension meets an existing internal flint wall, as well as on external elevations.
Can you guarantee an invisible join?
We aim for a natural blend, not a perfect invisibility claim. Every existing wall is different. We will be honest about how close a match is realistic for your flint and mortar.
