Flintwork in London

Specialist flintwork across London

London flint is less a single vernacular than a mix: older garden and boundary walls, period houses with flint panels, and new extensions that specify knapped flint as a facing. The stones are often brought in rather than picked from the plot, so matching still depends on colour, size and jointing, not on a local field source. We work with homeowners, architects and contractors across the capital from our High Wycombe base. Use the pages for Richmond and Kingston upon Thames for local detail, or contact us with your postcode if you are unsure which approach the building needs.

Typical projects we take on in London

• Extending or altering a property where new flint must meet old
• Restoring weathered external flint and replacing hard cement pointing with lime
• Contemporary knapped flint on a new extension or garden/boundary wall
• Coordinating flint detailing with architects and main contractors

How to start a project in London

Send photos of the flint (or drawings for new work), the property postcode, and a short note on what you want to achieve. We can advise which approach fits and what happens next.
